In the month of Rabi’ al-awwal, which is the third month in the Islamic calendar, the Shias celebrate it on the 17th and the Sunnis celebrate the festival on 12th of the month.

Prayers are recited at the Muslim worship places and sweets are distributed among the needy. The stories and preachings of the Prophet are narrated among people.

Eid-E-Milad-un-Nabi is a day to remind the kindness, compassion and the teachings of the Holy Prophet.
